Fox News is "So Conservative"
Charles over at LGF has found some very interesting information about the purchase of FNC headlines by the Saudis. Apparently, muslim riots are the same thing as civil riots - even when only muslims are rioting. Gotta love Fox News.
LGF: Saudi Prince Buys Fox News Headline
While gasping for air - think about this: Rupert Murdoch is trying to make MONEY - regardless of how the news is presented. He hires a bunch of "conservative" media-types (and throws in a few liberals here and there to make it "fair") to host shows on his network in order to attract the majority of Americans that feel alienated by the already-existing networks. Just as with the other networks, when the primary goal is profit and not relaying the news, how can they be trusted?

You sound like a communist when you say that Mellora. Here's my take on media and profit:
1. All major media outlets want to make a profit
2. The product they provide is truth and access.
3. By diluting or falsifying this product, they lose viewship, and thus profit (from advertising).
When I do turn on the TV to 24/7 news outlets, I flip back and forth between Fox, CNN, and MSNBC. I don't trust them anymore than I trust anybody else. Trust, but verify.
WOW Ryan, I almost hit the floor when you said Mellora sounded communist! Next time you two are in the same room together, make sure I'm not in it, because I'm sure it'll get bloody ;-).
On a more serious note: the thing about Foxnews, is that they essentially have a monopoly on "conservative viewership." I think that if there were more varieties of Conservative news networks- albeit local and/or national (gosh the liberals are so lucky to have it all- except talk radio... still), then Mellora wouldn't be so frustrated with foxnews.
I think we've all had our moments where we talk back to the TV because we're pissed. For me personally, I'm sick and tired of hearing Sean Hannity say the exact same thing every single time... it's getting old. Oh, that and having to watch about all the court cases: Peterson, Jackson, Natalee Holloway and her annoying mother... yeah I think we can all say we've had our "Foxnews Frustration Moments"
Mellora isn't sounding like a communist, she's soundling like a nationalist. Someome who relies profitting on your own suicide isn't a good bargain.
Nationalism died with the Nazis and Imperial Japan.
This is unrelated to the post, however I have answered your questions (http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=23389873&postID=114144136321975510)
Hi there!
I know this is random, but a few friends and I are starting a blog and were wondering if you'd be willing to transfer "politicology"?
:)
